First Alert Weather Day: Frigid start to your Christmas holiday
Wind chills once again could remain in the lower 20s today
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Another FAWD expected for Christmas day as temperatures steadily remain in the middle 30s. Winds are expected to remain light and breezy as they blow in from the west. With continuous breezes, anyone outside should bundle up in layers as cold temperatures persist. While we are not forecast to feel the winds we experienced this past Friday, cold interfacing winds for any length of time may increase the risk for cold-related illnesses, such as hypothermia.
Remember the Four Ps: Plants, People, Pipes and Pets this holiday season. Although the holidays is a great time to gather together, always make sure everyone is safe and every heating item is working efficiently.
Eventually temperatures will start to moderate as warmer air moves into the area later this week
