Phillip’s First Alert Forecast: Wet to sunny, breezy and cool Friday
Skies will clear quickly after showers move through around sunrise
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - A front is approaching from the west tonight. It will increase clouds later tonight with a couple of hours of light rain likely around sunrise Friday. The band of wet weather will move through quickly with most places seeing less than a tenth of an inch of rain. Skies will clear quickly during Friday morning as northwest winds blow at 15 to occasionally 20 mph. Expect sunny skies for most of Friday with highs in the 50s.
The ECU Pirates have a home football game in Greenville with a Friday afternoon kickoff at 3:30pm. Skies should be sunny with temperatuers around 54 for kickoff. Northwest winds will blow at 15 mph adding a nip to the air.
The sunny weather will hold for Saturday and Sunday. A cool breeze will pick up on Saturday out of the northwest, keeping our temperatures in the low 50s for highs after a sub freezing start to the day. The chilly temperatures will bounce back towards the 60° mark by Sunday afternoon.
