NEW INFO: Four people shot in Duplin County

DUPLIN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - There is new information on a shooting that wounded four people on Sunday in Duplin County.

Deputies say the shooting happened at the Thomas Smith Mobile Home Park near Teachey Sunday night.

A fight led up to the shooting which left one victim with critical injuries, and three others with non-critical injuries.

A man who deputies said was directly involved in the shooting has been arrested on weapon charges.

Lacy Moore III was charged with possession of a firearm by a felon. The 46-year-old man from the Rose Hill area was jailed on a $300,000 secure bond.

Deputies say their investigation is continuing, and that no one has been charged with the actual shooting of the four people.

SUNDAY NIGHT STORY

Four people are injured after a shooting in Teachey on Sunday night, a Duplin County official confirmed.

The shooting happened at a mobile home park on Bay Road in Teachey on Sunday and the suspect has not been captured.

We were told late Sunday night that a medical helicopter was on its way to Vidant Duplin.
